If your client is considering separation or divorce, it will be invaluable to them if the professionals in their life collaborate and use a team approach in supporting their goals.
I have found this to be helpful to all, especially the client. Whether you are a therapist, attorney, financial planner or realtor, I am here to help. Clients are usually happy to sign a Release of Information so that we may talk about their case. In addition, I can do a one-time consultation with them, where I may be able to assess the issues at hand and may provide some help in connecting up with mental health or counseling services, I may to outreach to the other spouse, or we may determine some beneficial services for children and co-parenting solutions. Even during stressful and tense times, it seems that clients are willing to do whatever may help if presented to them effectively.
If your client determines that a support group is the best fit, a Release of Information is essential in my supporting the goals that you have defined in your work with them.
